She Wasn't Always Right

Location

She was on the floor holding all the tears back,

she didn't think she could handle this when he was on crack.

She turned  to look at him, to look at what he he had become,

but he was gone, so she looked in the mirror to see what he had done.

She picked up her shirt, and saw she had five branded fingers on her side,

and although she was starting to feel it, she couldn't cry.

This was her own fault, and she knew it,

but she didn't ever have the strength to leave, even when she was bound to get hit.

She'd regain her strength, and when she realized,

he did to, and beat her to she forgotten, and the hope left her eyes.

She'd leave him and the abuse one day.

and that day will be tomorrow.
