She was my best friend since birth,

One of the smartest kids I knew.

Just four months ago she was taken from this Earth.

She got trapped with the wrong crew

They got her involved in things that poisoned her

I tried to help but I was too late

My dad woke me up early that morning

To let me know my cousin has fallen

I try not to hate

I try not blame myself

She was just 19 years young.

No words or pictures can describe the pain I feel

To see something so devasting happen.

I just have a few words to those kids out there

Drugs are not cool

Don't be a fool

Don't hurt the ones that love you.

Time will only heal this pain I feel.
