She is a Sly One

  • She is a sly one
  • She comes in and leaves with a trail behind her
  • Sadly only few will see her trail of blood
  • She comes back ten times harder when we defer
  • She is the epitome of everything dark to us,
  • But when others look
  • They see nothing
  • They believe she is make-believe
  •
  • She is a sly one
  • The torment comes as a herd
  • She enters our minds without notice
  • She poisons them with a single word
  • We hate her because she will not leave.
  • We hate her because she is different to everyone who sees her
  • We hate her because she tricks us into believing that she is gone
  • But she always comes back.
  •
  • She is a sly one
  • She tiptoes into our brains
  • And fills them with hate
  • She kisses our heads with lips of anguish that drive us insane
  • She breaks us down but we do the dirty work
  •
  • She is a sly one
  • She tucks us in with the wearing thoughts of death bunking above us
  • Her breath takes ours away because we are so focused on her to see anything else
  • She tells us fairytales of distrust
  • She fluffs our pillows in the air filled with suffering
  •
  • She is a sly one
  • She is a master of disguise
  • Most think she is just a drop of pain when in reality
  • She is an entire sea that is filled with tears of cries
  • You may have heard of her and her tricks
  • You may have her tugging away at your brain
  • Or you may have managed to avoid her deadly ways
  • She goes by the name of depression
