She Is Me
Location
She is me
I am her
How much more simple could it be?
Dyed brown hair
Scared black eyes
All she wanted to do was hide
Hide from him, hide from her
Hide from all that would judge her
One becomes two
Two becomes four
Four years past
It seemed too fast
Smiling and grinning and laughing and talking
If anybody saw her, they would say she’s happy
But they don’t understand
And they don’t know the truth
They couldn’t see past the Nashville hue
But let’s peel aside her armor
And take a look inside
What do I see?
A little girl trying to hide
