Shattered Home

How is she supposed to know
That you're love was really so
When nothing but lies were told
You've broken our hearts
Tore her family apart
A home no more
Only an empty house
More burdens to hold
She can't fall now
The bills must still be paid
Her tears stream down her face
As she simply tries to sleep
But the painful memories keep her awake
What happened to her world?
She was selfish and comes to know
That true love isn't through the human being
But through a different way
A little step of faith
Her lifeline now the Bible
And her true love is in God
But even then the pain cuts deep
As she tries to hide the memories
In a box put away
She'll fall asleep tonight
With her tears stained face
