Shark and Flower

Location

I am a shark

Ready to bite when the time is right

Mess with me and you will regret it

I look small and innocent

But looks are deceiving

And I will not be taken for a fool

But behind the curtain

There is so much more

There is a delicate flower

That still dares to dream

That feels and worries for others

Few are the privileged ones that can see me

This way

What stops me from showing the world?

It’s a cruel world

And many confuse feelings

With weakness

I cannot show both the flower and the shark

Sometimes it is required to be a shark

And few are the times to be a flower

And so the curtain must stay closed

Only for few to look past it
