A Shared Dream
I dream of a world
With no persecution
Execution
Demolition
Only production
Repair
We must repair
What is now torn
Or lost
I dream of a world
With no racial tension
Black or white
Asian or Island
Nation vs. Nation
None of these matter
Stereo types and expectations
Assumptions and preparations
I dream of a world
Where a person is a person
No Negro
No Caucasian
Just human
A living, breathing
In-the-making
Human
After all
Is one’s life completed on one’s own?
No
God gave us life
For us to fulfill
To persecute?
Is that what he wanted?
God created man
Not the white man
Not the black man
But man
We are each unique
But still all the same
I dream of a world
Where man does not discriminate
No violence
No crime
A silence for peace
This world that I dream of
Is just beneath us
Not far
Not impossible
It is there
Maybe King meant more to
I HAVE A DREAM
Than we may think
Let’s make this
A shared dream
And let’s make this shared dream
A shared new world.
