Shameful Stares

As I walk
I feel their stares
Though I don't talk
I know they're there.

I run away from the taunting,
As my eyes pour.
Their insults haunting
Of that, they are sure.

I know they aren't right,
But they get in my head.
Just looking for a light,
Should I ignore them instead?

So I'll hold my head high,
Because I know I'm unique.
No more will I sigh,
Because I am not weak!
