Shallow Shores
Upon the shallow shores lay I
No, not sleeping,
Merely dreaming,
Possibly scheming,
Barely breathing
In the salty ocean air.
My face is upturned to the sky
Eyes blinking,
Slowly sinking,
Deepy thinking,
Stars are winking
in return to my palid stare
Tears fall like tiny drops of rain,
Puddles growing,
Time is slowing,
Always knowing,
Water flowing
from my star-dusted green-eyed glare.
There he goes, away from me
Always leaving,
Forever grieving,
Anger seething,
Watch him weeping,
from this glassy sea-spun shore.
