Shadows

2 Timothy 2:24-25

24 And the Lord’s slave must not engage in heated disputes but be kind toward all, an apt teacher, patient, 25 correcting opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth

Shadows.

Who is a reflection of myself?

Who really can be me?

A part at war and part at peace

enslaved in one … the other free.

So sad and grieved at one side,

the other joyful and happy indeed.

Which side is the right side

contradicting the other’s plea.

Spirit and soul is that the measure

or body and mind's binding tissue?

Hope and despair are a moving treasure

breathing together in life’s issues.

Inhaling deep what life offers

and exhaling what is not used.

Maybe the riches of the discarded

has the most value in a deeper truth.

To filter and use the best of life's breath

is not done well by contradiction's swing.

But only if opposites understand the rest

they’ll accept the gift of life deep within.
