Shades of Gray

White is the absence of color
Black is every color combined
Everyone else is somewhere in between

White is the absence of sin
Black is darkness, no light
Anything else is shades of gray

If we all have dark and light in us,
What makes us so different?
Our degrees

We’re all made of the same thing
In different concentrations
But all we let ourselves see
Is the color

If we understood
That every shade
Complements the others

We could find real peace
And love
And acceptance
