September

September

By Kyrie Writes

Oh September

Do you remember how the world was colorful?

The sun was blinding

The days were long

Our smiles longer

We were free

To be who we  wanted to be

Oh September

Do you remember?

Dancing with leafs

As they flew around

Chasing the breeze

No room for fear

Cuz you were always here

Oh September

But then the days grew old

And I grew older

I waited for you

You never came

What went wrong?

I knew it all along

I can't let go

You were my happiness

You left all alone

In the dying land

The world outside is foreign

I didn't understand

Years have flown by

But every sunny day

When the wind blows just right

I stare outside

Longing to find you

Oh September

Do you remember?
