Seeds are scattered

Mark 4:5

Other seed fell on rocky ground where it did not have much soil.

It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep.

Seeds are scattered in the seasons

some by wind and some by birds

Dropped in places … dropped by reason

where only the Voice of God is heard

All seed has to grow downwards first

with means deep in the dirt

If it can’t sprout and fill its thirst

it will burst upwards to its hurt

Without deep roots is no lasting growth

and life will be short and sad

It will die remotely and all alone

missing opportunity it could have had

What grows on stony ground of heart

some thistles, scrubs or weeds?

What sets this and futility apart

is it not a life blindness in need?

Will some grow for a lifetime

and some not even a season?

Will some bring fruit or flowers

and some subjects of treason?

Will some become a lifeline

and some skeletons of death?

Will some be showers blessings

and some just bad breath?
