See Me

I want you to see me But you only see me when you need me Not when your life is all rainbows and sunshine, But when the dark clouds come and the rain start to fall. As if you want me to be your umbrella and protect you from it all. I’m your umbrella, your raincoat and your boots. Here to keep you dry. Or at least I try. When the rain is gone, and the clouds are no longer dark, gloomy, and Heavy with the burdens of your past and present. You no longer see me. You no longer need me. You take off your raincoat and hang it on a rack, You kick off your boots, even end up losing a shoe You close your umbrella and put it away With the mind set that you’ll need it again for another rainy day.The sun is out the rain is gone and  now so are you. You no longer need me, So you refuse to see me.
