See

I've always been growing

Didn't know when I'd be "grown"

Till the day I saw her

My one and very own

She was tired from toiling

The kitchen no longer clean

The rooms were a mess

And then she looked to me

And then she looked up

My height having exceeded her

And then I saw

"Grown" could no longer defer

I knew I had grown

When my mother depended on me

I know I am grown

Because now I can see

This poem is about:
Me
My family
