Second Chance

Sun, 03/10/2013 - 17:07 -- KCHobbs

My head lowers in a state of surrender
I allowed my hands to be bound in striking neon caution tape
Oh how easily I mouthed never

But as the patriot colored lights flashed
I realized that with each breath
I was to become a stronger person

Because by death
I was given a second chance
To make the rest of my life mean more than ever before
