Little snowflakes are falling on my face
I stick out my tongue for a tiny taste
Looking around I notice the snow pile
Spring will not be back for a little while
Layers provide me warmth from the harsh flakes
Everything is frozen even the lakes
I feel my body starting to get numb
Can’t wiggle my fingers mostly my thumbs
I go inside and sit by the snug fire
Next I go to bed for I must retire
