Proverbs 20:27 New English Translation

27 The human spirit is like the lamp of the Lord,

searching all his innermost parts.

Search and …

My spirit, where are you? Why do you hide from me?

I have walls of noise in motion so that I won’t hear your voice

My will, my mind, and emotion are shielding me from you

Oh! If I were a child again, I wouldn't have to make a choice.

I would accept you wholly and have no second thoughts

Life would be uncomplicated, and Life Himself would bloom

But I had to grow up so quickly. I remember I could not wait

And look at me now, polluted, living by my sense of gloom

You stated, “To enter heaven,” you have to be like a child

I liked to reason that  maturity came through the experience

It's hard to accept tho that through failing, I am made perfect

Through and by the breath of life as an inheritance of endearment?

As we grow up, as we know, we are un-experiencing God

And the older that we get, the more we un-reason the Lord

Oh! Brother, does that make any sense? To believe it or not

Not that we lost awareness, but our insight seems all we got

My spirit, who are you, and how are you composed?

How are you in reason when my mind is somewhere else?

You are alive, or are you dead? There is no in-between?

If you are active and raised, I’ll become someone else.

Communion with God resides in you; it’s here where life is whole

No bits or pieces of the pieHere the walk of God is heard

Here knowledge and consciousness hide in every chamber

Where the Holy Spirit visits and His intercession is first

Here is where the Voice of the Lord lives in our intuition.

Here is where He softly speaks to get the attention of the mind

The will and the emotions may also participate in sharing

the development of understanding and the power's reflection to bind

The soul is quite a mixture. That is where the “Fall “began

Here’s where the battles take place and who has the dominion

The onslaught there is deadly, and few the words to describe

That the misery and pain in man are more than an opinion

The emotion on the rampage does more harm than good

Love is an emotion, right, but also so is hate

Excitement and joy are walking here together,

But so are grief and despair waiting for a date

My will resides in the soul and sometimes forces out

And often wants no part of me as it comprehends

But the harder that it forces, the closer to the center

It will dominate a man as the master of his tent

My mind is another story. It rises above myself.

It sees itself as an intricate part of intelligent civilization

Here is where the “Fall” began when Eve began to reason

And made a choice so sensible, the first step to degradation

Oh! Soul, you are the flesh. There is no denying it

The way I act and reason is here, portrayed in you

It seems that my body was the culprit number one

But it is just a hull where you do the things I do

Unless you are at peace, my shell seems neglected

It will fall much faster than the soul will admit

That is where denying resides in the death of a looser

Or a sniffer of coke, who as an athlete seems to fit

The word of God became flesh; Christ took upon Himself a body

A body of flesh and blood just like yours and mine

And so He died and sacrificed Himself for wholeness

We will have to wear his garb now in temporal time

Even in our thoughts, we see this expressed.

Even in our spirit, this becomes our point of view

Even in our lifetime, he leads us to peace and rest

Even to our being fails, He is always here to renew
