If your life is written down … will it fill one page?

If the question is before you: “What did you ever do for God”?

Will it start with frowns developed through the age?

As excuses loop through the mind waves into a blot

To look at self as useless or to paint a picture fake

To deceive self rapidly as the only way out

Will leave yourself clueless like an angel-cake

Where the taste has quickly left you taste-buds in doubt

Maybe the good we’re doing is seldom noticed by self

Maybe the reaching for one’s heart is beyond our perception

Maybe in daily goings, we stack constantly on a shelf

In feelings of our emptiness as we search for direction
