Scars

Scars

Still present

From when

My old self

Died

And I began

To hide

And stay away

Small scars

On my legs

From when

Writing

Couldn't keep

The pain at bay

But listen to me

As I say

They will not

reopen

More

Will not be added

As long as

They are caressed

By a hopeful

Metaphorical

Or physical

Kiss

So stay

Help me

Forget those

Awful days

I carved

My pain

Into

My legs

Show me

A safe way

To deflect

That sort of Pain

And like a bird

Beginning to fly

I will rise.

This poem is about:
Me
Our world

You will rise like a girl poetess, just keep writing your muse on paper and don't carve in self harm ever friend. You will be fine, pray to God and that helps the most. Kudos for the fine poetry you wrote.
