"A savior and a serpent" By:George R. Hanna

Waking before the sun resurrects and dawns on the day...

Face to face with my enemy, the serpent looks to me with deception...

Hissing and biting trying to inject me with fear...

I stand heart held high, guarded with armor, blocking out the hissing threats of death...

I am promised lifeby the truth, not led by lies and controlled by fear, stricken with anxiety...

His heart mocking me because the fight has already been won....

I have triumphed over the beasts cold death ridden grasp...

My fate sealed by a jelous, redeeming Savior...

So I lift up my hands in surrender, taking slow steps on the path of righteousness...

I have only ever won, I have always fought fear with fear a victorious war that I dwelled on...

I was ordained for a battle larger than life, so  beyond mortal fathoming...

Exposed to a love so overhwelming it can only be matched by ones love back...
