Save My Soul

I have traveled through the deepest parts of my subconscious

Ignoring my own ego

I have reached through the scariest parts of my own limbic systems

Without so much as flinching at the demons

I have torn apart all previous misconceptions

And replaced them with grim reality

Of my own internal conflict

I have created a personal remedy

For my own mental illness

I hold the cure close to my heart

To pacify my nerves and secure my breathing

I simply hold onto the idea that happiness is created from within

I am a goddess

My body is a vessel

Healing my broken soul became a priority

The idea that once seemed so far away

Has become what I cannot live without

My spirituality
