Shadow of  a smile

vacant searching eyes

hollow echos of laughter

hidden by a disguise

Every heart ache forms a new crack a crumbling piece of art

trying to hold it all together

before she shatters apart

A stranger in a world full of people

lonliness wears her thin

people blur on never realizing

the pain she hides within

Her brain screams out

but the mask holds strong

crying and breaking inside

though outside nothing is wrong

Full of pain and dispair

her hopes dashingly flee

though is you listen closely her eyes will say
