The addiction

My satanic sin
My one true weakness.
The hurt that follows drowns me in despair.
The pain to come brings me so far down I don't know if I will ever return to normal.
I am very aware of my weakness.
It beckons me every day.
I am stronger than it.
I know.
But there is something about that delicious craving that I must tame.
So I give in, "for the last time" I tell myself.
I know I will give in many more times to come.
Because the pull is so hard to resist.
The satisfying nature surrounds me as I partake.
My world seems to sink in around me.
I am defeated.
Ice Cream.
