Sasha

You were so small

yet so big in responsibility

You little teddy bear

So messy and anxious

From Oklahoma

To your new home,

Our home waiting

For a new change.

You grew and we with you

Like a new sibling

New tricks and treats

New fights and rules

You grow no more

But still you change

You are no longer an anxious baby

Now a rambunctious child,

Wide awake to everyone and everything

Leaping with excitement to say hello to everyone

Peaking over the edge of the counter to sniff food

Tugging and pulling on every walk

Our goofy crazy fuzz ball

Every toy shredded within the hour

Endless hours of nap and play

Fearing nothing

Licking puddles,

Mud digs,

And running like a race car

Now only grey hairs grow

Your brow old

You pull less on walks

But enjoy it nonetheless

You may have olden

But in my mind

You are still golden.
