Sand In My Eyes

Sand in the wind, it blows and flies.

Hot, sharp sand lands in my eyes.

The pain and screams I keep inside.

Oh the pain, I want to die.

My insecurities work just the same.

Attack my mind and make their claim.

They take my joy, they take my life.

They make me go for the nearest knife.

Sand in my eyes, insecurities on my mind.

Sand on the rise, insecurities unkind.

Sand takes me by surprise, insecurities kill my peace of mind.

Sand, sand, in my eyes.

My state of mind has declined.
