Salutations and Nerves

How strong my fist

As I clench it

To plug the flow of feelings

That creep from my heart

Like molten lava

Burning my stomach

Filling my blood

Till I have no sense of anyone

But you.

But I crave that heat

That kicks my body into gear

Makes my heart gasp

Then run and run

Leaping and singing

Stopping in front of yours and

whispering a breathless,

"Hello."
