Saints and Sinners

You put me on my knees and I sob to God

"Please"

This poem isn't any different than the ones before

It's about how I love you

Something I can never ignore

It's about how you love him, too

He is just a concept in my head

The devil, a ghost, haunting your bed

Where my soul was before and where I said

"Sorry Jesus"

When you took off your cross necklace

and then your shirt

and we bled

A river of love and a river of vibrant paint

Kissing like sinners but together feeling like saints

because heaven was the cliche time I spent with you

He is the devil, who creates a hell for me

but not you

This is so unfair

I want not to care

But since you're the sky

I can always, always see you stare

And I shout back that I love you

Molly I love you

But the funny thing about the sky is

It is so, so far away

I'd have to risk my life to breathe you again
