Sacrifices

Location

Heroes that sacrificed their lives; forgotten.

Families that went on without husbands, fathers, grandfathers, uncles, cousins and friends.

The courage it took to save us no longer matters to many.

They left their lives to protect ours, but we don’t remember.

He was MIA in Korea and came back to no gratitude.

Do people notice the ones that never come back?

He almost gave his life, but no one knows the war.

He relived it every night and his family paid even more.

Does he not deserve respect and acknowledgement for all he’s done?

‘Cause when the day is over his life is the reason yours isn’t gone.

So my dad sent this poem to a page on Facebook called Warrior Pointe, they support our military, and they actually posted my poem and added some cool graphics. I was so excited!!!
