Sacrifice
Sacrifice
Isaiah 53:12 New King James Version (NKJV)
12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.
“Make my life a sacrifice” ... is that really what I want?
In the sacrifice of old ..., the knife divided bone from marrow.
Do I really want to be ... parted deep inside
to be directly cut in two ... by sword, fire or arrow?
The Holy Spirit does His work as called by The High Priest Jesus.
Soul and spirit are parted ... in a fatal blow.
The soul must die and be burned in its sinful disposition,
so that my spirit may overcome and live forevermore.
The Word of God when moved ... plunges in soul and spirit
It orders a division between the two ... for these two never agree.
As long as the soul feels protected on any matter of importance
it will clothes itself with a shell ... never in morning dew.
For the soul to be liberated ... takes the work of the Cross.
The bondage that chains it down has to be destroyed once and for all.
Subjection to the spirit ... has to be the issue
and to find proper position ... to serve our “All in All”.
Pre-eminence of the spirit is always challenged by the soul.
The spirit needs full freedom away from its master called the flesh.
The power of the soul thrives on instinct ... not intuition and
will reason, weigh and manipulate the things that it knows best.
The spirit cannot be free unless the siege of the soul is lifted.
The soul has to be placed ... on the altar of sacrifice.
It should accept its death ... as a free-will offering.
Pleasing to our God and Savior ... no freedom otherwise.
