Rosarian

Dear Rosarian,

Will I find you in the garden

Where you tend the leaves

And mind the breeze

And care for all it's beauty

Rosarian, Rosarian

Have you ever seen beyond the garden

Do you wander past the picket fence

Into the darkened streets

Or content are you

To stay in the shade

Of the beauty that you grew

Rosarian, Rosarian

I see you there

All day and evening

And you never seem to mind

You tend and till

Always with a smile

Rosarain, dear Rosarian

I miss you from the window

I cannot find you there each day

I cannot leave the shallows

For where you dwell

Love runs deep

And I dare not go deeper

Rosarian, Rosarian

If I end up there tomorrow

Will you walk with me

And talk with me

Through all of life's sweet sorrows

Rosarian, Rosarian

Though you pass away today

You said you'd always stay

Though this cruel world grows darker

You leave us with your gift

Rosarian, Rosarian

Can I find you in your garden?
