It seems
There runs a river, fierce and strong,
Between your outlook on life and mine.
While clear to me the "i" in failure,
The warmth in Hell's destructive flames,
The delight in want for a slower revolution;
I fear your unwillingness, your inability, to test the waters.
To dive for the opposite bank towards my outstretched hand--
Because you have never had the chance to swim.
All of your fight used,
Leaving only room for a fatigued shell,
Barely there, barely surviving, barely caring to
Pick up and trudge onward,
To find a shallower length to cross.
But it is time, to waltz on the water and conquer
The separation between reality and recovery.
Begin now, immediately, deliberately,
Now.
Because all suns must set,
All waves must crash against the shore;
Instead choose to seize what is set before you.
Choose to float.
Choose to thrive.
