Rise Up

What have we become?

A generation of pawns

Being pushed around and controlled by the jealousy and hatred of another person.

Someone we have never seen in our lives.

We have become so numb to the world, we have become so blind.

We have become so afraid of what we have been exposed to,

So we imitate.

The "Everyone hates you," "Kill yourself," "No one cares,"

It has to stop.

Because whoever you are...

You are perfect. You are awesome. You are smart. You are loved.

You don't need to be thin, you don't need to be hip, you don't need to be anything but you.

Because all the you they need to see is you.

The people who shame you, who put you down, who call you anything but you,

They are not worth the sadness, the embarassment, they are not worth you.

You are better than what they make you out to be,

So prove it to them. And do it bea-you-tifully.

And though we may never meet, or never share a moment, just know:

I extend my love, my heart, my hand.

Because I am the someone out there who understands.

Don't give in to that dark temptation.

You are greater beyond any estimation.

With this passing word, I want you to know:

Bully is not a trend , and it is not cool.

So live long and prosper, yo.
