The Right Side of Mankind

Mon, 11/30/2015 - 22:20 -- stejeda

I travel through an endless song,
Through the abstract sound waves
That have tracked me down, leaving me kneeling
To a powerful God, who has taught me how to un-tie asphalt knots
He has healed me from a traumatic sexual assault
Of the clenching claws of a pedophile,
Which I wrongfully thought was my fault
He helped me get across my compassionate loss,
That had killed me from the inside
I have a critical political analysis,
Which has taught me that mankind is blind and reluctant
That only a few are wise and kind
And a sense of defensiveness is among all
Therefore, I hold tight to a rope of hope
Fearing I won’t fall into a bleeding pond
That holds the absence of faith, devilish crimes, and selfish lies
I will stay strong for this lifelong goal, so that I can belong to the right side of mankind
And spread endless hope among all
