A Revolution Into A Powerful Constitution

This land of the free,

From sea to shining sea,

We transformed a revolution,

Into a powerful constitution,

That finally set us free.

Aftermany dark nights,

Of dripping candle lights,

The young and patriotic,

As well as the old and heroic,

Brought forth the Bill of Rights.

This home of the brave,

Who sacrificed and gave,

Their newly found freedom,

For the good of the kingdom,

And a free American grave.

When we tossed the tea,

Into Boston’s sea,

We could only hope our troops,

Could fight off the British sloops,

But we would never flee.

From studious lawyer,

To dusty quarrier,

They took up arms,

To sound the alarms,

To fight as brave warriors.

Every pair of boots worn,

With sleeves and britches torn,

Brows of sweat in condensation,

That built this mighty nation,

For the generations unborn.

Our fields of golden wheat,

And cobbled city street,

Were built by our forefathers,

For our future daughters,

To walk on with their own two feet.
