Mark 10:20-21

20 “Teacher,” the man replied, “I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was young.”

21 Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Surprise

Well my "friends" are gone – three in one day

Flew the coup so to speak – leaving me alone to play

This was expected but still caught me by surprise

Amazing this whole process but now I realize?

The Lord is so good – He always knows what’s best

A visit here and there for hearts to get some rest

Time goes on so quietly never raising its voice

It fits us into itself making timelessness a choice

Now they have gone many years – memory is dim

Will I see them again – the chances are real slim

Maybe after all is done we’ll chat at Heaven’s table

The Lord and we reminiscing possibly with Abel
