Rest In Peace

Rest in Peace, my weary soul.

Let diamonds dance into that space—

Though mem’ries cannot fill the hole

Their power can illuminate

Each crack and strain that first appeared

When the one I love respired

No more.

Rest today my weary head.

You need not stay awake to watch,

No eyes and curtain ar pulled shut.

But thanks is not a garuntee

When you are serving those in grief,

So thank you now for deeds we need

No more.

Rest in pieces, tender heart.

Perhaps you will be whole again

But until the  you’ll fall apart

Each time you feel the lingering ghost

Of struggling, pulsing,

Quick’ning beats

No more.
