Rerun

Since I was young

I was entertained by lies from

censored history

A regular scheduled program

With a white washed

perfect protagonist

Of a PG -13 dramedy called complicity

Respectability politics as it's

theme

Where major conflict meet

With minuscule resolutions

In the span of 28 minute

Episodes

That consist of 2 minute

advertisements of

Freedom

Since I've grown

Tired

Of seeing syndications

I've turned to streaming

The Truth

A thriller - horror with facts as its plot

Antiheroes exposing oppression

Making it X rated

This show is so sickly sinister

That even virgins and children die

No commercials with catchy jingles of

equality

However each episode cost

The price of humanity plus tax and

fees

A subscription no one should have to pay

In hopes the finale ends well

Because future audiences

Shouldn't have to endure

Reruns

Nor twisted spin-offs with dangerous ambiguity

This poem is about:
My country
Our world
