Remembrance of My Dog

I walked out of the house and it was cold

Went in the car and drove myself to school

Done with homework, I did what I was told.

Left my wallet, felt as I was a fool

Parked and remembered of my pet dogs death

Visioned him lying cold on the white bed

Hard seeing him sniffling all the meth

Saw his eyes roll in the back of his head

Suddenly, I felt broken. Scared. Weak.

Remembered the time he ate his own fish

He will rise at the highest of his peak

Seeing him one last time, my only wish.

I can still feel the pain and my soul break

His joy and happiness is what I take
