i remember the time
when i was a kid
i use to visit you
in the coolest areas in the bronx
right off jermone ave and yankee stadium
every time
i use to look at the window
i would see yankee stadium
i would see the yankees play (though they sucked in 80's)
anyhow,
i missed you smell of my favorite
food of rice and bean with chuletas
a classic puerto rican dish
i wanted one wish
why did you go?
why did tio junior murder you?
i recall and recount that night
when you were cooking for the kids
and cold heartedly
tio approach you
he poke with a knife
taking your life
multiple stab wounds
across your chest
laying you to rest
you were gone way before your time
didn't need to use a dime
to call you
to want to visit you every saturday
but now you are gone
tio's hateful crime caught up, he was done
karma is a bitch
i scratch a major itch
when i found out he died in prison
he was already dead before he went to jail
there was no way i would sent letters via mail
my cousins blamed me, at the time my family
we became separable
so far away, we became strangers that was unbearable
everybody cried in his funeral; i show no emotion
very emotionless
nobody cried for tit migdalia
although it was many years ago
your thoughts and spirits keeps me going
it drives me
it drives me
until this day, i miss you
i keep your spirits alive
my tragedies didn't lead to a nose dive
a tribute to you be being the absolute is my drive
i wanted to you to be proud of me
of the man i become
rest in peace tia migdalia
