Remember Me

(poems go here) As he wakes all is forgotten
Opening a new world full of the unknown
Our eyes swell with tears
While we sit back and feel the pain
Not knowing what he will forget next
My life is stuck on repeat

The doctors say the future is unknown
At least we hear he feels no pain
I sit here and pray not all is forgotten
As the say passes by I run out of tears
Wondering what to expect next
My life is stuck on repeat

What if we had no worries or pain?
if there wasn’t an unknown
When the sun dries up the tears
There would be no forgotten
There would be no questionable next
My life is stuck on repeat

There are happy years that have not been forgotten
The beginning years were there was no pain
When we were excited about the unknown
Our eyes would be filled of joyful tears
Anticipating for an exciting next
My life is stuck on repeat

The days pass with extreme pain
He has lost what we thought would never be forgotten
Haunted with tears
What comes next?
Slowly getting closer to knowing the unknown
My life is stuck on repeat

I wish this disease would be forgotten
I wish there would be a happy next
I wish there would be no need for repeat
I wish we could figure out the unknown
I wish away this horrid pain
I wish there would be no more tears

The end has come, the unknown
I cry hopeful tears
He will not be forgotten
