But Remember

As a teenage girl in the world today

Its hard to look around and stay positive

There are shootings in schools and children dying

People are stealing and others lying

There are struggles for equality and too many people go hungry

Sometimes parents dont listen and sadness and anxiety take over

The world seems too lonely and no one is around to listen to our cries

It may seem like there is no hope and that life should end,

But remember this:

Think back to the summer days where we ran free

or the days where we laughed until we couldnt breathe

Things may seem hard and the world sad

but remember that the small things in life are good

they may seem obscure and hidden by the darkness around,

but remember that there is a child out there that experienced a miracle

and heard his first sound.

Someone just learned how to walk or saw there first sunset,

a mother had her first child and gave a new life.

Someone in a third world country is learning how to read

and people are trying new things to eat.

Everyone in the world seems so disconnected,

but theres a girl somewhere making her first new friend

For some the world is too small,

but there is a person out there who is finding new undiscovered corners.

Each person is an individual with their own personal demons,

and it seems like there is no one out there who understands,

But remember there is always someone ready to listen and take your hande

miracles happen everyday and they may seem so obscure

But its someone elses entire world

There are so many possiblities

but remember this:

Everything is pretty awesome!
