Remember

Remember the whispering of the waves,

Beating on the whitewashed shore,

Remember my friend the great summer days,

When we went frolicking to the shore,

To meet our friends, the whales

Remember my friend, remember...

The whale's moans were etched in my mind

My mind was far away from the city sounds,

It drifted back to my hometown to find,

The whales small and all the kind,

The move was far, far away,

Into a town with no mankind,

With machines and engines that whine.

Really I have come to the end,

I cannot go on without my good whale friend,

Alas this place is not to be mine,

And though I might get used to,

I won't forget my precious whale too.

Remember the whispering of the waves,

Beating on the whitewashed shore,

Remember my friend the great summer days,

When we went frolicking to the shore,

To meet our friends, the whales

Remember my friend, remember...
