Reflection in perspective

Location

When I look at myself in the mirror, I see a different girl living in a Utopian world.

The girl is different from me, way different from what I've seen.

She helps me realize that I should be myself instead of leaving my heart on the shelf.

She shows that she doesn't need a filter to impress other people.

And when she’s upset, she doesn't bother to self inflict with a blade or needle.

Her heart is solid while mine is liquidity but sometimes I feel like I live miserably.

When I see her…it shows how strong I really am mentally and physically.

Honestly I have a good life ahead of me and maybe till infinity.

I need no filter just to make myself look good.

Without a filter I just impress myself and I hope I’m not misunderstood.

She in the mirror tells me that I’m beautiful in and out.

Without tears or anger, she says it loud and proud.
