Reflection

Ecclesiastes 7:3-4

New English Translation

3 Sorrow is better than laughter,

because sober reflection is good for the heart.

4 The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning,

but the heart of fools is in the house of merrymaking.

Moments and flashes of reality covering the screen

1st impressions sinking into the depth of the inner man

Life is fading slowly being prepared for unwanted dreams

What is left to understand if the perception runs out of hand?

News always involves mankind through someone’s opinion

Excitement or depression molded solidly in one’s thought

Amazing that emotion has been interwoven in a selected mission

With mind-boggling impressions out of the environment caught

Later the perception of common sense departed rather slowly

Taken by the hand to be placed and dressed up in the shadow

What if the use of this exercise has been paid for by the dowry?

By uninterrupted confusion by reason which is way too shallow?

Maybe circular wavelengths are slowly choking

Common sense to death in an accepted motion

Humanity led in ways to where most are croaking

In its fake contentment and their blinded devotion

“Too soon and too late” are dressed up for a party

Camouflaged as reality dancing slowly on the waves

As the storms of life in the lives of the ones “past” forty

Are setting the direction of the fearful and the brave
