Reflection

Psalm 139:24 New Living Translation (NLT)

24 Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

Are the longings that I have ... products of emotion?

Are thoughts countered from within ... centered on devotion?

Is my purity at times sought ... through inspiration

Or is most of it driven ... by my lasting degradation?

Are motives which surface ... than by instinct driven?

Are they based on the past ... or through tradition given?

Is survival as I see it ... then based on expectant living

Or am I guided through it all ... because I’ve been forgiven?

Are the good and the bad explained through hidden dereliction?

Or filtered through the lapses ... ingrained in brain’s reflection?

My mind loves it well ... it has most all the facts or fiction

As it makes sense to itself ... and seems to love perdition.

God will work in man ... to will and to do the tasks.

Direction and purpose are well within my grasp.

If in obedience I accept ... the forgiveness of my past

To live in His Will ... and so to forever last.....
