Stained
Laying on the cold war floor
I’ve bleed red, white, and blue
For you?
Can this be true?
America
I salute you
I chose to fight for you till’ kingdom come
And my arms are replaced with guns
I’m no longer my own Army
No longer dodging the bullets of war
And so I’ve surrendered me
You see
These tears that drench the very uniform I wear
Has been camouflaged by my very being
No longer considered a regular person
A warrior I am
A victim of the years
A hero with no fear
RED
I don’t bleed
BLUE
The skies sing
WHITE
I don’t see
The flags of peace and so I continue to fight
And one day
One day
I pray you’ll no longer need me
And with family, I can be free
Isn’t that what this is all for?
To be free?
Like this land’s promise
To be sheltered under the eagle’s shadow
As we grow wings
One nation
Under God
And so let peace rain
Down on our enemies
And set me free
Let me bleed
RED, WHITE, AND BLUE
For you
