(poems go here) We lie here together, frozen in time,
As the child pleasantly drifts within his dreams near.
Not a sound echoed through the house.
Not a single wine.
Your lips touch mine,
And for the moment we will live the life God created for us.
A soft explosion went off deep within our primitive brain, which scared the butterflies within our stomachs away.
We know this is right,
This is us…
Soft, Red, and Velvet,
Such a piece of furniture that makes this kiss, and our memory of this moment so much more than just frequent dreams of a faded past and a love once loved.
Exchanged words were forgotten,
Yet they will never be lost.
Our hearts continuously remind us of that day…
That night…
This kiss we shared on that handsome red, velvet couch.
On that couch, our love had once dared.
Your faint silhouette, presented by a dimly lit moon, pulled me closer to you and gravity held me there.
Your lips were like a drug, as addictive as they come.
I didn’t want this to end…
Didn’t want us to end…
It was such an erotic kiss we’ll be soon to miss.
Alas, I said my farewell, as you walked up the stairs into the shadow-covered living room,
And disappeared in the darkness of the hallway which led to the safety of your bedroom.
In the moment you closed your bedroom door,
We shared the softest cry…
