2 Peter 2:21
21 It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness
than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live
a Holy life.
“To do or not to do” ... has never been the question.
Why to do what needs done ... is much more intriguing?
To do right for righteous sake ... seem to simply mention
that to do right any other way ... can be so deceiving.
Christ knows the difference ... and all basic intentions.
In doing good for goodness sake ... He Himself will lead The Way.
To just do good to be noticed ... will simply show pretension
to hide a heart that is no good ... and will surely fade away.
To pretend to have the best in mind ... for the church in kindness
will somewhere in the future ... be exposed and come to light.
Men and folks may follow you ... for a season in their blindness
but suddenly when The Truth is known ... they’ll pray you out of sight.
