Rearrange to Change

Mon, 11/20/2017 - 09:11 -- Shona

Whether it is gradual whether it is quick
It can differentiate a flame from a candle stick
People overtime have tried and failed
But others have tried, succeeded and prevailed
Ending discrimination is all I desire
Our heavenly father this issue is dire
Asian, Spanish, mixed, black or white
Everyone's equal in God's sight
One's skin color isn't based on personality
Judge the individual not the majority
All the riots in the streets are extremely crazy
But people are laying on the couch acting lazy
So join me in this world we'll rearrange
We must ban together and make this change

This poem is about:
My community
My country
Our world
